Brief CV
Katerina Maniadaki is Professor of Developmental Psychopathology, specialized in ADHD, Deputy Head of the Department of Social Work at the University of West Attica, and Director of the Research Laboratory in Counseling, Psychosocial Support and Community Interventions.
She has received her undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology from the University of Athens, her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the Université Louis Pasteur, her Master’s degree (D.E.S.S.) in Developmental Psychology from the Université René Descartes, and her PhD in Developmental Psychopathology from the University of Southampton.
Since 1996, she has been working as a clinical psychologist at the Psychological Center “ARSI”, where she is responsible for the assessment and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities and mental disorders. Her research interests include early identification, secondary prevention, and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders. Her publication record consists of 7 books (course books at Higher Education Institutions), several chapters in edited volumes, a great number of international refereed journal papers, > 100 peer reviewed conference papers and >1200 citations in Greek and international publications (h-index 7). She has been acting as a referee in >20 journals and as a member of the editorial board in 10 of them. Her last book, “The Complete Guide to ADHD: Nature, Diagnosis and Treatment”, published from Routledge in 2018, has been internationally reviewed and endorsed. Her biography was presented at the Greek Who is Who in 2012. She has received the Universum Donna 2016 Award from the International Cultural Association Universum Academy Switzerland for her contribution to scientific research, culture and humanity.
